At only 19 years old, Sam Allen's work has already been featured in numerous publications including Vogue Magazine, The New York Times, Connecticut Cottages and Gardens, athome Magazine, Martha's Vineyard Magazine, The Weston Forum, and The Westport News. Allen, was a finalist in athome Magazine's A-List awards, and more recently, chosen to be one of twelve designers to take part in Albert Hadley's "Rooms With A View".

Having grown up the son of interior designer and magazine editor Leslie Allen, Sam was exposed to the creative world of photo shoots for national home and shelter magazines from an early age. His first design job came at the age of 12 at Westport's Dovecote with owner Sarah Kaplan. Sam was also the youngest intern to ever work for Martha Stewart. By the time he was 17, he landed his first independent client and Sam Allen Interiors was born.
