Motor operation

Gear Box

Starting a gas weed eater
Step 1: Find the right area
Place your machine on a flat and dry surface. Keep in mind that fewer obstacles around your work position, the more comfortable you can do the job.
Step 2: See the gas tank
Make sure that the gas tank is already closed up. If it is opened, the fuel may flow out during your work.
Step 3: Turn on the device
Every trimmer has a switch that says “on/off”. Find the switch and turn it on, so that the motor can receive electricity to operate.
Step 4: Turn the choke on
In order to run, the motor must reach a specific heat. If the instant temperature of this motor is so slow, the machine is unable to start. A solution to this problem is to turn the choke to the right position so that it can prevent the air from flowing into the motor.
Step 5: Tap the purge valve
Tapping the purge valve will deliver the fresh gas to the machine carburetor. All you have to do is to find this valve and tap it for about 5 – 6 times.
Step 6: Pull the trimmer cord
Typically, this cord ( also called throttle lock) is usually placed on top of the shaft. Put your hand on the throttle lock of the trimmer, hold it, and pull it out for a few times. When the motor runs, you can stop pulling.
Step 7: Let the motor runs
If the motor already runs, you should turn the choke off and bring the airflow into the motor in order to lower the consumption of the fuel. Also, the airflow will help to keep the motor running ergonomically.
Starting an electric (or battery-powered) weed eater
Step 1: Plug the weed eater into an energy source
As we have mentioned above, all the electric weed eaters require electricity to run. So, you have to find a power source and plug the weed eater into it. Make sure that the connection is stable because the machine may stop working if the plug falls out.
Step 2: Check the energy in the battery
If you use a battery-powered weed eater, you should check out if the machine has run out of power or not. If there is no power left or the amount of energy is too low, you should charge the machine before working.
Step 3: Pull out the trigger
After completing the two steps above, you have to pull out the trigger to run the device.
Note: Since the trimmer receives power, it will start running immediately. If you are not careful, you may get some unexpected accidents.
